Good:
- high image resolution: good photos.
- big and clear LCD
- no more docking station to transfer files (vs. EX-Z750).
Bad:
- and this one is really bad: there is a video recording limit (10 minutes!). Now my home movies have to be stitched together... not cool! And this is not mentioned ANYWHERE in the manual or website - very unprofessional.
- software "PhotoLoader" is supposed to be an "upgrade" but I find it harder to use.
I would have gladly go back to Z750 because that does not have a video recording limit. Why they did that is beyond me... "
I used to take pics with My cellphone which is really awfull
I just gotta say this Camera is the real Package
*awesome sharp Pictures
*HD Videos
*Lots of functions
Im just in love with the Make Up mode. This really takes the ex z300 to another level of cameras.
The only bad thing I had found is the .MOV ,when You try to edit your movies On sony vegas or Adobe After effects you can only see the video. it does not detect the audio.
you can play the videos on your media player but if you want to edit your videos you have to change the format of the clip or extract the audio and put it over your timeline.
besides that This is an awesome cam. "
The best feature I think is the self portrait shots. Basically you can press the shutter button, point the camera at yourself or with someone else, and it will take the picture once it has both faces in full view. The wide angle lens is also a plus, whereas before, self portrait shots only allowed maybe a close view of you and someone elses head, whereas now full face and body and background is in full view. Smile detection technology is also a nice feature, however you have to show your teeth in order for it to work.
HD movie is great. Only downside is it is in .mov format which now requires quicktime. For window users, if you are viewing photos in windows media gallery, and you click on the next button which is actually a .mov movie, windows media will crash. Not a big deal, but you just have to separate the .mov's from the jpgs.
Overall I love the camera, the black and silver contrast is very nice. Does leave some smudges but still a great looking camera. "
